It was with an added interest that the coaching team and members at Smart Fitness watched the announcement of the England Rugby Squad to take on the take on the Barbarians and Argentina in a two-Test summer tour.

Captained by Saracens' Steve Borthwick, the squad also includes six uncapped players, inluding Dave Wilson (former Newcastle Falcon) who recently completed an intensive 3 week training period at Smart Fitness under the watchful eye of Nick Grantham (Director of Strength and Conditioning).

Nick Said, "Dave spent three tough weeks here at Smart Fitness and I was impressed by the level of professionalism he showed and the intensity that he brought to every session. He was a great lad to have training in the facility. We are all looking forward to seeing him perform on the international stage and wish him all the very best of luck."

England kick off their 2009 summer tour against the Barbarians at Twickenham Stadium on May 30 (4.15pm), before heading to Old Trafford for the first Test against Argentina on June 6 (4pm), followed by a return match in Salta on June 13
